To My Man in the Moon


Dear Dad,

Sometimes it's hard to believe how much time has pass. I think given everything you knew about stuff, I can't imagine how much you would love the way technology has advanced just since you have been gone. I wonder if you would be on Facebook. Lol.

I found Ron Boltz and his daughter Carrie on Facebook today. It's funny how people may age but still look the same. I feel I never forget a face though, so that probably works in my favor. Carrie is married. As is Aaron whom has 2 kids. It's so amazing. We are going to try and get together with them soon.

Mom was the most excited. I think she is most excited to share her memories of you. When I am the only one to reminisce with her, and I only remember so much, I think it is slightly disappointing to her...well not really but you understand what I mean. I think she will be ecstatic to relive some other memories with other people. I know I am excited to hear some of the stories.

Speaking of mom, she has been pretty tired lately, but seems to be rebounding a little bit at a time. She is happy to be done with radiation. She is up and moving, doing laundry and the dishes and of course loving on Liam. I am hoping that as she gets stronger she will want to start going on walks with Liam and I. All this sitting is making me gain more weight than I would like.

Liam is doing great. I am a little worried about his right eye. It's still not draining and that concerns me, despite the fact they say he will grow out of it. I would like to know when. He is 9 lbs 12 oz now , and 21 inches long. He is about out of the newborn diapers and clothes. Little man is growing like a weed! I love his so. His smile is amazing. He is just so adorable.

Dustin went to his sleep study last night. They had him hooked up to all the different machines. I guess it takes about a week or so to get the results in. Hopefully they will be able to help him. His mom thinks if that doesn't work, we may need to get him to a psychologist. I think I am going to try looking some up just in case. It really couldn't hurt.

My head has been killing me lately. That and my back. I am going to look up a few chiropractors and see how much they would charge to have a look at me. I am extremely tired of always being in pain. I have horrible migraines and sharp stabbing pains in my back and head. It's insane. Hopefully it's nothing serious since I have no insurance.

Well, I am starving and have no idea what we are going to eat. Plus we need to go to the store and Walmart. Poo. I love you. Missing you more and more.

To The Man In The Moon - Thinking about the truth and not romanticizing what has happened is hard. It isn't like what we have isn't wonderful or that it's not true. Because I know there is a lot of love and specialness to what we found and have together. But there is a lot of things that happened, a lot of truth lost in the messiness that got blurred. And while it would be more convenient to ignore and forget all that, I am seeing how those lies have been the cracks in the walls I built to keep myself together.  When I fell for him, it's been all him for me. Beginning to Heal

To My Man in the Moon Dad, The beginning is the hardest. It seems like the end would be the hardest and the beginning the easiest, but I know better. It's finding the commitment and the strength to commit to something and following through with it that's the hard part. So here we go. Trying to find the right words and where to begin. So I'll start with telling you something easy, I miss you. We all miss you. There are so many things I want to say. There is so much time that has passed. I am no longer that little innocent girl. I can barely remember being 9. Luckily the good times come more easily than the hard ones through there are more than a few. Last year was a big one for me, getting married, having a baby, and it really brought a lot of emotion out of me.
